Best Upcoming Games on PlayStation Now and Xbox this December

December is here and a new month calls for new games on both the Xbox and PlayStation Now front. Microsoft and Sony have both announced their list of new games for Xbox and PlayStation Now, here’s a list of the best games in the offering.

We start off with the new PlayStation Now games which were announced by Sony via a recent tweet.

Horizon Zero Dawn

PlayStation 4 owners have got the chance to play Horizon Zero Dawn many times considering how often it goes on sale but if you have a PlayStation Now subscription, here’s your chance to get a hang of this action-packed game. The game is all about Aloy’s legendary quest in which he unravels the mysteries of a world ruled by deadly Machines, who are now the dominant species. In this third-person action role-playing game, you can use devastating, tactical attacks against unique Machines and rival tribes.

Stranded Deep

This game provides for a test of your survival skills as, after a mysterious plane crash, you are stranded in the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. In this open-world adventure, you must do what you can to survive by exploring underwater and on land. You have to stay aware of the dangerous elements and creatures of the pacific as hunger, thirst, and exposure conspire against you.

Broforce

In this multiplayer, you can march into battle as a team of up to four bros to eliminate the forces that threaten our way of life. You can also play head-to-head modes against other players in super destructive deathmatches.

Some of the other games announced by Sony include – Wreckfest: Drive Hard. Die Last., The Surge 2, and Darksiders III. All the games are out on December 1 on the PlayStation Now service.

Xbox

On to the new games Microsoft has revealed which will be added on Xbox Game pass on console and pc.

Control (Console)

As previously rumoured, Control has been added to the list of new games and will be available from 3 December. In this third-person action-adventure game, you become the Director struggling to regain control of your secretive agency in New York as the city is invaded by an otherworldly threat. You will be challenged to master a combination of supernatural abilities.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition (Console & PC)

In this game, the Luminary treads on a dangerous journey to unravel the mystery of his fate with the help of a fascinating cast of supporting characters. This Definitive Edition includes all the previous content in addition to extra scenarios from the acclaimed Dragon Quest XI. The game will drop on 4 December. The additional features in the game include a grand orchestral version of the music, a Japanese audio option as well as the ability to switch between 2D and 3D graphic modes.

Call of the Sea (Console & PC)

This Xbox console exclusive is set in the 1930s in the South Pacific. In this otherworldly tale of mystery and love, you play as Norah, an enigmatic woman on the trail of her missing husband’s expedition on a strange but beautiful island in the South Pacific. Call of the Sea is a story-led game with puzzles, where every clue leads you deeper into the secrets you need to unearth.

In addition to these, Xbox users will also be given access to games including Slime Rancher (Console) – December 3, Doom Eternal (PC) – December 3, Monster Sanctuary (Console) – December 8 and Starbound (PC) – December 8, among others.
