Vivo earlier this year introduced the Vivo Y28 5G and now it has felt the time to replace it with the Y29 5G on the last day of the year. The latest 5G phone comes with features like a 120Hz display, MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, and more than 5,000mAh battery capacity, and is priced starting at ₹13,999 in India. The price of the Vivo Y29 5G in India starts at ₹13,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant. Other variants with higher storage options are priced as follows: ₹15,499 for the 6GB+128GB, ₹16,999 for the 8GB+128GB, and ₹18,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant. Additionally, the company is offering a cashback of up to ₹1,500 on the purchase of the phone. The Vivo Y29 5G is available in three color options: Diamond Black, Glacier Blue, and Titanium Gold.

On the specifications side, Vivo Y29 5G features a 6.68-inch HD+ LCD display with 1,000 nits peak brightness and 120Hz refresh rate. There is a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC on the inside, which you will also find in smartphones like the Realme V60 Pro and Samsung Galaxy A16 5G. The rear features a 50MP primary and 0.08MP auxiliary camera combination, while an 8MP front shooter sits on the front for selfies and video calls. The smartphone is available with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, with support for 8GB extended RAM and 1TB internal storage. It is powered by FunTouch OS based on Android 14.

The Vivo Y29 5G features a 5,500mAh battery with 44W wired fast charging support. Other specifications include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IP64 water and dust resistance, military-grade resistance, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 165.75 x 76.1 x 8.1 mm and weighs 198 grams. The Vivo Y29 offers an even larger display, more powerful processor, higher capacity battery, and improved charging speeds compared to its predecessor, the Vivo Y28. Y29 also comes with a higher IP64 rating than the Y28’s IP54 rating and military-grade resistance.
