After months of speculation and spy shots, Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) has officially launched the updated Honda Amaze, marking a significant step in the evolution of this popular sub-4m sedan. The improved aesthetics, new interior, and features should only bolster Honda’s position in a market that largely revolves around SUVs now.

New Honda Amaze Launched at ₹7.99L: Premium Design, 1st-in-Segment ADAS, and Advanced Features
The design changes included a completely new front end, and the styling appears to be derived from Honda’s global models, such as the Accord. The larger grille has less chrome and the LED projector headlights are slimmer and flow into the sides of the car; LED fog lights with a redesigned surround sit in new sculpted faces for a performance-y appearance. A new look to the rear includes Honda City-style tail lights and more style in a restyled bumper. The sedan, on the sides, gets new 15-inch alloy wheels and boasts a 172 mm increased ground clearance.
Inside, the Amaze gets a new design for the dashboard with an 8-inch freestanding infotainment screen that features wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay support. There are also revisions to the climate control panel which has now been brought more up-to-date, the addition of paddle shifters, wireless charging capability, a keyless entry system as well as Honda’s Connect telematics suite with five years of complementary service. While rear-seat comfort now comes with AC vents and a PM 2.5 air filter, lighter interior shades give the cabin an airy feel.
Safety is taken care of by six airbags and Honda Sensing ADAS, which are first in the segment with advanced driver assistance systems. Under the hood, the Amaze retains its 1.2L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering 89 bhp and 110 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual or CVT gearbox. The new Honda Amaze starts at an introductory price of ₹7.99 lakh (ex-showroom) across three trims: V, VX, and ZX. Customers can choose from six color options and an additional Signature Package with accessories like ventilated seats and TPMS. Test drives are available now, with production already underway.
