After a time when the brand was known for a variety of productions running all the way from the Brio hatchback to the Accord sedan, Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) has now limited its sales to the Amaze and City sedans, alongside the Elevate SUV. With the next-generation Amaze around the corner, we expect Honda to far exceed its sales numbers in India.

More About the 2025 Honda Amaze
Honda’s most inexpensive sub-4m sedan, the Amaze, is in for a drastic makeover- and the first official design sketches that have been revealed, suggest that Honda is ready to wrench the Amaze’s styling ballpark a good notch up. The Amaze is currently in its second-generation facelift and this update is certainly needed to keep it competitive, especially since the new fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire is around the corner. In a bid to get the better of potential buyers before the Dzire’s launch, Honda has now revealed some teaser sketches of the Amaze’s design.
Design sketches for the third-generation 2025 Honda Amaze suggest a clean-sheet redesign with the car sporting a much sharper, edgier look and more aggressive proportions than the outgoing model. Not all of this design will likely make it to production, but some areas show promise. The traditional LED daytime running lights (DRLs) seem to have been moved above the headlights, while rectangular projector elements are expected for low and high beams and likely with LED tech.
The muscular bonnet shows off hard creases adding to its aggressive character while the grille design may be similar to the new global Accord model. LED fog lights are not officially confirmed yet but are expected to be largely similar to those available on the current Amaze. The third-gen Amaze is expected to be underpinned by a version of the City platform, which also underpins the Elevate. It will help HCIL consolidate its production across its entire range.
The familiar 1.2L four-cylinder engine is expected to carry over, allowing the Amaze to remain within the B-segment tax bracket. This engine is known for being responsive, smooth, and refined. When it launches in 2024, the 2025 Honda Amaze may emerge as the only visually appealing sub-4m sedan equipped with a smooth four-cylinder engine, contrasting with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, which will transition to a three-cylinder Z-Series engine first introduced with the fourth-generation Swift.
