Xiaomi has launched its new flagship phones, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, alongside the Xiaomi Pad 7 series tablets in China. The Xiaomi 15 series features Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, positioning it as the first to debut with this processor.

Xiaomi claims the Xiaomi 15 will be the most affordable flagship with this chip “this year.” During the launch, CEO Lei Jun announced a global release for the Xiaomi 15, though he didn’t specify a timeline. It is being speculated that both the 15 and 15 Pro might launch in India in late 2024 or early 2025, despite the lack of a Pro variant earlier.

In China, the Xiaomi 15 is priced at 4,499 yuan (about ₹53,000), while the Xiaomi 15 Pro starts at 5,299 yuan (around ₹62,500). Both phones begin with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, with configurations up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The Xiaomi 15 has a 6.36-inch OLED screen, a battery capacity of up to 5,500mAh and supports wired fast charging at up to 90W and 50W wireless charging, and a Leica-powered 50MP triple camera.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 15 Pro supports those same fast charging speeds and includes a periscope lens for up to 5x optical zoom, however, it comes with a larger 6,100mAh battery and also features an even bigger 6.73-inch 2K display. The Xiaomi Pad 7 series consists of both Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro with Snapdragon chipsets, an 11.2-inch display with a 3.2K resolution, and a 144Hz refresh rate.

The Pad 7 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and includes up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, while the standard Pad 7 uses the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3, with options up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Both tablets have an 8,850mAh battery; the Pro supports 67W fast charging, while the standard model is limited to 45W. They run Xiaomi’s HyperOS 4 and offer Dolby Atmos audio, with prices starting at CNY 2,499 (around ₹28,500) for the Pad 7 Pro and CNY 1,999 (about ₹23,500) for the Pad 7.
