A photo of Xiaomi executives appeared on the Internet and was quickly caught. The image which was shared by Wang Xiaoyan, VP of Xiaomi Group and President of Xiaomi China appears to have an unannounced smartphone, Xiaomi 15 in it. But it was in a case covered with the device’s prominent lens, so this is a new design right before your eyes.

Xiaomi 15 Leaked

But the fact that its flash separated from the body of camera module unlike Xiaomi current models, where it’s integrated into one assembly suggests temporarily this might be a part of upcoming Xiaomi 15 series. The leak just so happens to arrive right in time, as reports about the presumed Xiaomi 15 series have been making the rounds for ages.

Xiaomi 15 Pro renders by Smartprix with a similar design including a flash outside the camera module. That similarity has led to speculation that the executives may have inadvertently uncloaked not only one of, but perhaps both the Xiaomi 15 or its Pro iteration during this meeting.

With rumors reaching a fever pitch, we now have a better idea of what to expect from the Xiaomi 15 Pro. The phone is expected to come with a design reminiscent of the Xiaomi 14 Pro, a complete glass sandwich body, and a flat metal frame. It will probably be marginally altered to fit a larger battery and screen, both of which are being beefed up for the premium touch.

As far as colors go, the Pro should be available in standard black, white, and silver finishes with a titanium edition thrown into the mix for an even more premium look. It should feature a 6.78-inch quad-curved AMOLED panel from TCL with QHD resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and over 500 ppi for excellent visual experience. While there are reports indicating that the smartphone will be launched with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, some sources claim it could debut as a Snapdragon 8 Elite. It offers enough punch and space for even the most strenuous user — up to 16GB of RAM, plus a maximum storage capacity of as much as 1TB.

The camera system, co-engineered with Leica, is expected to feature a triple-camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. The front camera will likely be a 32MP shooter, ensuring sharp selfies. A large 6,000mAh battery will support 90W wired charging, 80W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Additionally, the Pro Titanium Edition is said to offer wireless satellite connectivity, enabling communication in areas without cellular coverage.

The Xiaomi 15 series is rumored to launch in China in October, with a global release anticipated in early 2025. The appearance of this mysterious device in the hands of a Xiaomi executive further fuels excitement, suggesting that the Xiaomi 15 series is on the horizon. With its cutting-edge performance, innovative camera system, and premium design, the Xiaomi 15 Pro is shaping up to be one of the most awaited smartphone releases of the year.
