Hyderabad FC are close to lifting the transfer bans placed on them by FIFA. As per a report from Twitter user @90ndstoppage, the club has made the necessary payments and is close to being able to register players again.
The Nizams are set to face rivals Bengaluru FC in their first match of the season. The game is set to go ahead now that the club has been able to recruit enough players to field a squad for the ISL.

The club has already acquired the services of Sourav K, Isaac Vanmalsawma, Ayush Adhikari, Devendra Murgaonkar, Parag Shrivas, and Leander D’Cunha. They later went on to sign a goalkeeper, Arshdeep Singh, and veteran, Lenny Rodrigues. Japanese winger Cy Goddard has also made the move as a free agent.
Six out of their eight new Indian recruits terminated their contracts with their previous clubs for a move. They were seemingly convinced by the project headed by Thangboi Singto, and will now don the yellow and black jersey this season in the ISL.
It remains to be seen how far the BC Jindal Group can take the club after assuming ownership this summer. They completed the takeover shortly after the Durand Cup, and have managed to assemble a squad very quickly.
While the transfer ban won’t allow them to register players right now, they may be able to acquire reinforcements during the January transfer window.
