The 28-year-old is expected to arrive in Greece tonight to complete the formalities for his move to Athens. Reports suggest that he will receive a salary worth €3.5 million for the next three seasons.
However, considering the trajectory of other players from top European clubs such as James Rodriguez, Marcelo and Manolas, the odds are against a lengthy stay for the former United striker.
United have replaced their former number 9 with Joshua Zirkzee, while Rasmus Hojlund has taken over the number 9 shirt at Old Trafford. It’ll be interesting to see if Anthony Martial can find his best form again in Greece now.
