Maruti Suzuki Launches New Swift S-CNG: Enhanced Fuel Efficiency and Modern Features

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) introduces yet another S-CNG variant of the Swift, thereby extending its lineup of fuel-efficient cars. Swift S-CNG with 32.85 km/kg Mileage is India’s Benchmark of the Premium Hatchback Segment. The updated model is sold in three variants–VXI, VXI (O), and ZXI, on comparison to the earlier two, all trims now offer a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Swift CNG is powered by a Z-series Dual VVT engine, delivering 101.8 Nm of torque at 2900 rpm, ideal for urban driving.

The All New Maruti Suzuki Swift S-CNG

The 2024 Swift CNG commands a sportier stance than its petrol and diesel siblings giving it an expression of performance without compromise for efficiency. On the safety front, it gets 6 airbags, ESP, and Hill Hold Assist. For ease of convenience, features like automatic climate control and rear AC vents have been thrown in addition to a 7-inch Smart Play Pro infotainment system.

The Swift S-CNG is priced between ₹8.19 lakh and ₹9.19 lakh (ex-showroom) and it is the 14th offering in Maruti Suzuki’s S-CNG lineup, from its seven portfolio brands The Swift CNG can also be bought via Maruti Suzuki’s subscription program, with an all-inclusive monthly fee of ₹21,628 that covers registration, insurance, and maintenance amongst others.

This integration of a greener powertrain with an exhilarating driving experience reflects our commitment to meeting the needs and expectations of Indian customers.”

He added, “Since pioneering CNG vehicle production in India in 2010, we have sold over 2 million S-CNG vehicles, significantly reducing CO2 emissions by 2 million tonnes. Our S-CNG technology has made green mobility more accessible, and we proudly offer the broadest range of 14 S-CNG vehicles. Last fiscal year, our CNG sales in the passenger vehicle sector grew by 46.8% compared to the previous year, demonstrating a compound annual growth rate of around 28% since 2010.”
