Bajaj Auto‘s Pulsar brand of motorcycles has been a great success both in India as well as globally. In a bid to make its Dominar lineup more enticing as Diwali season approaches, Bajaj is testing this new motorcycle that could come with a 125cc engine. However, sources reveal that this new model is likely to be called the Bajaj Dominar 125 which would extend the Dominar range into the 125cc category. A motorcycle under the BS6 Royal Enfield Meteor was recently spied and details of it came up courtesy of automotive enthusiast Aman Kharat.
The Upcoming Bajaj Dominar 125
Now, the Pulsar series of bikes are top-selling in high-performance single-cylinder and premium commuter space while the Dominar line-up has a long way to go before it could even match. Bajaj Dominar 125cc makes perfect sense and is probably a very strategic move from Bajaj to extend its Dominar range. This new motorcycle could be called Dominar 125 and is speculated to go up against the likes of Hero Xtreme 125R and TVS Raider 125.
Currently, Bajaj’s 125cc offerings include the Pulsar 125 (Classic) and Pulsar NS125. The Dominar 125 will likely be positioned above the NS125, featuring additional features to rival the TVS Raider 125. The spy shots suggest a sporty and muscular design, with elements such as a split seat, single-piece grab rail, and a distinct fuel tank with muscular shrouds.
It gets a new LED headlight setup, and is likely to use beefier front suspension – this time we may also get fork covers; alloy wheels looked similar to the Pulsar 150s series last night seen with rear mono-shock. The Motorcycle might get a fully digital instrument cluster and it can be turn-by-turn navigation. The scooter will also include a large ORVMs, disc brake at the front but rear drum brakes. There is speculation that Bajaj might include single-channel ABS.
As far as performance is concerned, the Dominar 125 could be up to the mark and probably class-leading when compared in that aspect. The motorcycle could be a surprise debut by the end of 2024 given that the test mule has been seen rather frequently.
