Iker Muniain has officially signed for Argentine club San Lorenzo after leaving Athletic Club as a free agent at the end of the 23-24 season. The player has reportedly completed the signing of his contract and is expected to be available for selection in the coming days.
As a self-proclaimed River Plate fan, people were expecting the Athletic Club icon to head to the aforementioned club. However, its authorities ruled out a transfer recently, and San Lorenzo emerged as the next best stop for the player.

The 31-year-old has already arrived at El Nuevo Gasometro, a stadium famous for its atmosphere. He has signed a one-year deal with the Argentine club, and it will be interesting to see how he adapts to his new surroundings.
The attacking midfielder spent close to 20 years with Athletic Club, and established himself as a club legend. He led the team to the Copa del Rey, ending their trophy drought which lasted for decades, before announcing his departure at the peak.
