Manuel Ugarte is all set to join Manchester United from PSG on a loan deal with the obligation to buy next summer. The Uruguayan midfielder always wanted to move to Manchester, and will now get his transfer at last.
The midfielder only spent one season at Paris after a transfer war with Chelsea. Just a year after signing him for €60 million, PSG went ahead and signed Joao Neves from Benfica for €70 million. As a result, Ugarte is set to make way in the squad for the youngster.

Ugarte’s contract with United once he signs permanently will be till 2029, with the option to extend till 2030. Personal terms were never an issue between the player and the Red Devils, and only the formalities remain to be sorted out now.
With Casemiro entering his twilight years, Manuel Ugarte will be able to provide cover for the Brazilian and rotate alongside him. The former Sporting CP midfielder has time on his side, aged 23. And he could be the long-term solution for the club’s midfield woes if he can adapt to their playing style.
Manchester United have made some huge moves in the transfer window this summer, and it now remains to be seen if Erik Ten Hag can get the best out of his signings this season.
