Shah Rukh Khan returns to action as the Lion King in the prequel to the 2019 remake of the classic 1994 animated film, The Lion King. In “Mufasa: The Lion King,” he takes on the titular role, providing the voice for the photorealistic animated musical drama. Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan join him, voicing the characters of Simba and Young Mufasa, respectively, for the Hindi dubbed version.

Shreyas Talpade and Sanjay Mishra voice Timon and Pumbaa, respectively. The promo reveals the backstory of how Mufasa, an orphaned cub, was rescued by Daka, who would later be known as Scar.

It explores Mufasa’s close bond with Daka and his journey to becoming accepted as a son in his new family. Shah Rukh Khan provides the voice for the adult Mufasa. The trailer concludes with a dramatic showdown between the brothers and rival lions as they vie for the throne.
