Matthijs De Ligt is set to join Manchester United from Bayern Munich. The deal has been given the here we go signal by Fabrizio Romano, meaning it is only a matter of time before it is made official.
The deal agree between the two clubs is for a fee worth €45 million plus €5 million in add-ons, spread over three years. The former Ajax centre-back is set to sign a five-year deal with Manchester United with the option for one more season.

The 24-year-old was one of the top targets for United this summer, and is finally set to make the move to England. He leaves Bayern after only two seasons having joined them in 2022 from Juventus for €67 million.
The Netherlands international will be accompanied by Noussair Mazraoui, as the Moroccan is also set to join Manchester United. He will be the direct replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is set to join West Ham on a permanent deal.
De Ligt was quite effective during his time at Bayern, but wasn’t able to help the team to a second consecutive Bundesliga title this past season. Now, he will join the likes of Lisandro Martinez, Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans in the United squad as they aim for a resurgent season after their FA Cup win in 23-24.
