The 24-year-old fits into the West Londoners’ philosophy of signing top young players for their project. However, his injury history has to be concerning for Chelsea. He spent a significant amount of time on the sidelines in 20/21 and 22/23.
Last season, he missed 23 games for club and country due to hamstring injuries. However, he was still able to finish the season with nine assists and two goals in only 20 Premier League games, which is more than what Chelsea’s current wingers managed.
Pedro Neto has proven himself in the Premier League, and with the depth Chelsea have, he will get rotated sufficiently as well. As a result, he could prove to be a game changing addition to the squad heading into the new season.
