Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Aaron Anselmino from Boca Juniors, in a deal worth £15 million. The player had a release clause worth around $25 million, but the deal has been completed for much below that amount.
The midfielder becomes the latest from South America to join Chelsea since the BlueCo takeover. He will spend this season on loan at Boca, and will then make the move to London next summer when he is eligible.

The 19-year-old plays as a centre-back for the Argentinian club, and has been making a name for himself in his come country. But now, he has already signed for Chelsea till 2030, with his arrival confirmed.
The teenager stands at 1.86 metres tall, and will join the likes of Kendry Paez and Willian Estevao to join the West London club next summer. However, given the fates of Deivid Washington, Andrey Santos and Angelo recently, the new recruits might be worried about their game time heading into their new clubs.
The good news is that the centre-back position is not as crowded, and Anselmino could develop his game further if he can outperform the current crop of defenders, who haven’t been extremely impressive either.
Which players will join Chelsea this year?
Samu Omorodion, and possibly Victor Osimhen yet to sign.
