In 2022-23, the striker won the Golden Boot in the Bundesliga alongside Christopher Nkunku, who was at RB Leipzig at the time. He completed a transfer to Dortmund last summer and went on to score 16 goals and provide 10 assists in 46 games across all competitions.
The 31-year-old also scored the crucial goal in Dortmund’s UCL tie against PSG that allowed them to qualify for the finals. And now, he is being moved on for a sizeable fee.
West Ham United have sprung into action over the last few days in the transfer window. After closing a club record transfer for Max Kilman, they have agreed a free transfer to sign Guido Rodriguez, Crysencio Summerville and now, Niclas Fullkrug.
West Ham’s existing duo of strikers, Michail Antonio and Danny Ings are both eager to fight for their place in the squad even though Fullkrug is coming in as the most likely option to start for the new season.
Has Fullkrug played for Germany?
Yes, he has earned 21 caps and scored 13 goals.
