After missing out on Artem Dovbyk, Atletico Madrid are pursuing Alexander Sorloth of Villarreal as their top striker target for the summer. They are in negotiations with the club and the player to complete the deal and are optimistic of getting it over the line.
This past season, Sorloth narrowly missed out on the Pichichi Award, scoring 23 goals in the league. His tally was only one behind Dovbyk, who scored 24 in his maiden campaign in LaLiga.
