Monaco have agreed a deal with Belgian side Royal Antwerp for George Ilenikhena, fending off intense competition for the striker. The 17-year-old is set to complete the move in the coming days for a fee worth €20 million.
He only joined Antwerp last summer for €6.5 million, but has been very impressive in Belgium. He scored a total of 14 goals across all competitions, including one in the Champions League.

A couple of weeks ago, Monaco were expected to complete a deal for Euro 2024 joint-top scorer Georges Mikautadze. However, the deal ultimately fell through and the Georgian ended up joining Lyon instead.
Monaco have acted quickly, and have now recruited another highly promising youngster in George Ilenikhena. The player has accepted the contract proposal from the Principality club, and is set to undergo the medical tests in the coming week to make the move official.
Not only will the club benefit from having a top youngster leading their line, but they will also be able to sell him for a massive profit later on, if he can build on his showing so far.
