The excitement for BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) esports is reaching a fever pitch as the much-anticipated Season 3 of the BGMI Masters Series kicks off on July 19th, 2024.
Organized by Nodwin Gaming, this 22-day tournament promises high-octane action with a unique format that allows fan participation and intense competition.
Tournament Format: A Multi-Stage Battle
The BGMI Masters Series Season 3 is divided into four distinct stages, each holding its own weight in determining the ultimate champion:
Opening Week (July 19th – 21st):
The tournament commences with 24 teams divided into three groups of eight. These groups battle it out in a round-robin format for three match days. The top 18 teams from the overall standings will automatically advance to the next stage – League Week.
Here’s where things get interesting! The bottom six teams get a second chance through audience voting. Fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite underdog, and the top two teams based on these votes will join the qualified 18 in League Week. The remaining four teams, unfortunately, will be eliminated from the competition.
League Week (July 22nd – August 4th):
The 20 teams (18 qualifiers + 2 fan-voted) will play for a grueling 14 match days. The top four teams from this stage will directly qualify for the grand finale, while the remaining 16 teams (ranked 5th to 20th) will be sent to the playoffs.
Playoffs (August 6th – 7th):
The 16 teams from League Week will battle for survival in the playoffs. After a series of matches, the top 12 teams, based on their overall performance, will secure a coveted spot in the finals.
Grand Finals (August 9th – 11th):
This is where champions are made! The top four teams from League Week and the top 12 teams from the playoffs will come together for an epic showdown. The team with the highest points after three intense match days will be crowned the glorious champion of BGMI Masters Series Season 3.
