The referees for the Euro 2024 final between Spain and England have been announced, and Francois Letexier will serve as the match official for the clash in Berlin.

The Frenchman has only officiated at the group stage so far at the Euros, but has a wealth of experience under his belt. He has been an international referee since 2017, and officiated 10 games in the Champions League and Europa League this past season.

Euro 2024 final referee announced: Who is Francois Letexier?

The 35-year-old has taken charge of 65 UEFA matches over the course of his career, and was in charge of the UEFA Super Cup match between Manchester City and Sevilla. He will become the first French referee to take charge of a major international tournament final since 1988, when Michel Vautrot officiated the 1988 Euros.

He will be joined by assistants and compatriots Cyril Mugnier and Mehdi Rahmouni. Szymon Marciniak of Poland will be supporting the trio as the fourth official.

Jerome Brisard and Willy Delajod will be on VAR duty, alongside Italian Massimiliano Irrati.
