Below we will look at all Mumbai City FC transfers for 24-25 as they prepare for the new season.

Apuia joins Mohun Bagan SG in shock transfer

The reliable 23-year-old defensive midfielder reportedly handed in a transfer request to trigger his release clause and join Mohun Bagan SG. Mumbai City FC were adamant about not letting him go, but have been forced to sanction a transfer.

However, they have signed Jayesh Rane from Bengaluru FC to bolster their defensive midfield position and could try a new formation without the Mizo midfielder.

The experienced trio joins Bengaluru FC from Mumbai City FC

Alberto Noguera, Jorge Pereyra Diaz and Rahul Bheke have all completed their transfers to Bengaluru FC ahead of the new season. The trio played a key part in helping Mumbai win the Cup this past season, and will now be a part of a new project, after being unveiled to the fans recently.

Brandon Fernandes signs for Mumbai City FC from FC Goa

After a remarkable season with the Gaurs and earning a call-up to the Indian national team, Brandon Fernandes has now returned to Mumbai City FC after eight years. The attacking midfielder spent seven years with Goa, making 130 appearances and scoring 17 goals while providing 31 assists and winning the 18/19 ISL Cup, 2020 Shield and 20/21 Durand Cup with Goa.

Gurkirat Singh and Mohammad Nawaz join Chennaiyin FC

Chennaiyin FC have swooped in to sign Mohammad Nawaz as their new first-choice goalkeeper, while Gurkirat Singh has also joined the Marina Machans from Mumbai City FC.

Singh was highly rated during his time at City, but it’s likely that playing time guarantees were important in persuading him to make the switch.

Iker Guarrotxena returns to FC Goa; Noufal PN signs as replacement

Iker Guarrotxena has returned to FC Goa after spending the second half of the 23/24 season with the Sky Blues. The 31-year-old has been replaced by Noufal PN, who has joined the club from Gokulam Kerala. The exciting young winger was one of the top players in the I-League and it’ll be interesting to see how he fares in the ISL now.

Jon Toral and Nikolaos Karelis recruited to replace Diaz and Noguera

Attacking midfielder Jon Toral and centre-forward Nikolaos Karelis are two of the three foreigners recruited by City to replace the outgoing Alberto Noguera and Jorge Pereyra Diaz. Toral has over 130 appearances in the English Championship for Hull City and has played for Rangers and Granada, while on Arsenal’s books.

Karelis, on the other hand, has played across Europe, with Brentford, Belgian club Genk and Ado Den Haag in the Netherlands among the most prominent names.

Jamshedpur FC duo signs for Mumbai City for the new season

TP Rehenesh has ended his four-year spell with Jamshedpur FC to sign for Mumbai City FC as their new goalkeeper. On the other hand, Jeremy Manzorro has signed with the Sky Blues to reinforce their central midfield position.

Manzorro is an all-rounder, capable not only while attacking but also in defence. As a result, his addition could add a new level of energy to the team’s engine room.
