The Euro 2024 Quarter Finals have now been confirmed, and the matches are set to kick off on Thursday, 4th July with perhaps the biggest of the round – Germany vs Spain.
After reflecting on the performances of each team in the last eight, it is perhaps one of the most difficult to predict Euros in recent memory. All games look set to be decided on the finest of margins, and in this article, we’ll predict the four teams that make it to the semis.

The hosts will have the advantage of a raucous home crowd behind them as Spain look to earn a semifinal spot. La Roja have only conceded one goal in four games at Euro 2024, an own goal from Robin Le Normand.
They have easily dispatched Italy, Croatia and Albania, and thrashed Georgia in the Round of 16 too. But, Germany have made a strong case for themselves so far as well.
Toni Kroos’ arrival has rejuvenated the side, with Jamal Musiala spearheading the attack. While the match is too difficult to call given how stacked each side is, Germany might just edge past Spain by relying on their experienced players.
France vs Portugal

The repeat of the Euro 2016 final is set for the Euro 2024 Quarter Finals. And what’s interesting is how France have lacked the clinical edge in front of goal over their last few games. Portugal had to advance through a penalty shootout against Slovenia as well. But, they can boast of having Diogo Costa between the sticks, after his heroics in the shootout.
On paper, France are marginally the better side in terms of squad depth and talent. But, Portugal could surprise us all by defeating Les Bleus once again. Decisive finishing is going to be the deciding factor when the two giants of Europe battle.
Turkey vs Netherlands

Cody Gakpo has been in the form of his life in the Euros, with an unbelievable performance in the Round of 16. In spite of Turkey’s historic run to the quarter finals after 16 years, they are heading in as the underdogs given the Netherlands’ recent run.
However, if there’s anything we’ve learned in the Euros this time around, it’s that we can never rule out a surprising result.
England vs Switzerland

On paper, it seems England have earned themselves the most favourable draw. But, remember that Switzerland eliminated France last time around in the Euros. And if Gareth Southgate’s men continue to play under their potential as they have so far, we might witness another Swiss shocker.
It took a miracle from Jude Bellingham and a bit of luck for Harry Kane to earn the win in their Round of 16 tie. And with higher stakes around, we’ll need to see a spirited performance from England if they are to make it past an impressive Swiss side in Euro 2024.
