The playmaker registered 12 goals and 14 assists in 44 Championship games, finishing as one of the best performing players in the second divisionqs Leicester won the league. Aged 25, he fits Chelsea’s philosophy of signing young players to build a squad that can stay competitive for the coming decade.
However, he is one of the more experienced players in the Chelsea side now, given that he turns 26 in September.
Chelsea already have Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, Carney Chukwuemeka, Conor Gallagher, Lesley Ugochukwu and Romeo Lavia competing for time in the midfield position. Even if we assume that Gallagher will leave the club soon, there’s a very good chance Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall might not get as much game time as expected at his new club.
