Manchester United have made an inquiry about Joshua Zirkzee’s availability, asking about his contract demands for a potential transfer. The Bologna striker is on the top of AC Milan’s transfer list for the summer, and the Rossoneri are firmly ahead in the race to sign him, as they already have an agreement on personal terms.
With Olivier Giroud joining LAFC this summer, Milan want a proven striker to lead the line from the coming season. And after scoring 11 goals in 34 Series A games this past season, Milan believe the Netherlands international is the right man for them.

With Antony Martial leaving as a free agent, United only have Rasmus Hojlund as the natural striker in their senior squad. Having another name to compete with Hojlund and act as a rotational option will be necessary for the team to further their rebuild.
And with his experience in Germany, and now, Italy, Joshua Zirkzee could be a solid option if United can somehow overtake Milan.
But, the major roadblock they face right now is the player’s wish to remain in Italy. Moreover, with Milan, he will be the first-choice striker while he might not have those guarantees if he moves to Old Trafford.
