The company said, “However, we will not be releasing the film on August 15th, 2024 due to the remaining shoot and subsequent post-production work.” According to the corporation, the choice was made with the “film, the audience, and all stakeholders” in mind.
“Our objective is to deliver an unforgettable big-screen experience without sacrificing quality,” the statement continued.
The film’s teaser and two songs, “Pushpa Pushpa” and “Sooseki,” have already been released by the studio. It has stated that the “overwhelming response” in all languages has been “heartening.”

The film is directed by the well-known Sukumar, who is recognised for his critically praised films Nannaku Prematho, Rangasthalam, and Arya. ‘Pushpa – The Rise’ is a screenplay and tale by Sukumar.
Allu Arjun plays the title role of Pushpa Raj in the film, while Fahadh Faasil plays the strong Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. Other notable cast members are Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli, Jagapathi Babu as MP Bhumireddy Siddappa Naidu, Sunil as Mangalam Srinu, Anasuya Bharadwaj as Dakshayani, Rao Ramesh as SP Siddappa Naidu, Dhananjaya as Jolly Reddy, Shanmukh as Jakka Reddy, Ajay as Mohan Raj, Sritej as Pushpa’s second elder brother, Kalpalatha as Pushpa’s mother, and Mohanlal making a brief appearance.
Red sandalwood is a rare wood that grows exclusively in the Seshachalam Hills of Andhra Pradesh state. Pushpa: The ascension, which also starred Rashmika Mandanna, followed the ascension of an arjun, a low pay worker, in the smuggling gang.
