Edin Terzic has officially confirmed that he will be leaving Borussia Dortmund, posting a heartfelt message to the fans to announce his decision. The manager led Dortmund to the Champions League final this past season, while also securing Champions League football for the next season.
However, there were always doubts about his tactical prowess, as revealed in the argument with Mats Hummels prior to the Champions League final. And now, the club has confirmed that we will see a new face in the dugout from the coming season.

“Dear Borussians, even though it pains me greatly right now, I want to inform you that as of today, I will be leaving BVB. It was a tremendous honor to lead this great club to a DFB-Pokal victory and recently to a Champions League final”, Edin Terzic wrote.
“After our final in Wembley, I asked the management for a conversation because, after ten years at BVB, including five years in the coaching team and two and a half years as head coach, I feel that the upcoming restart should be led by a new person”.
Terzic is a lifelong Dortmund fan, and came extremely close to winning the Bundesliga title in 2022/23, losing out by the smallest of margins to Bayern Munich. However, he helped them lift the DFB Pokal in his first spell in charge, with fond memories of the Cup run to this day.
