Bayern Munich are keen on signing a new centre-back, and have Levi Colwill on their shortlist in case they cannot work out a deal for Jonathan Tah. The Bayer Leverkusen defender is keen on joining Bayern in case he leaves the Bundesliga champions this summer.
However, the deal with Leverkusen will not be easy to negotiate considering how important he is to the team, as well as the current status of the two clubs. As a result, Colwill has been identified as a possible second option by the former Bundesliga winners.

As per Florian Plettenberg, initial talks have already taken place with Bayern, and Colwill could be a shock departure for Chelsea given they aren’t anticipating his sale. The fact that he is left-footed is important for Bayern as they want a player of his profile.
However, he is important to Chelsea’s project as well, and is expected to become a key member of the squad now that Thiago Silva has left the club.
In either case, Bayern are expected to make a big signing for the summer to bolster their defence for the coming season, and challenge for the title again.
