Chennaiyin FC have confirmed the arrival of Daniel Chima Chukwu and Laldinpuia from Jamshedpur FC, with the pair following Elsinho Dias to the Marina Machans.
Owen Coyle’s side has been the most active of all the ISL clubs, having signed the Jamshedpur FC trio, alongside Gurkirat Singh, Mandar Rao Desai, Mohammad Nawaz and Kiyan Nassiri to add to their ranks for the coming season.

“I brought Daniel to Jamshedpur in the winter window of the 21/22 season and he scored 7 crucial goals in 9 games to help win us the shield. We have brought a goalscorer with a proven track record in India and we are sure he will fit into this squad seamlessly,” the head coach told Chennaiyin’s official website about the transfer.
Chima has had extensive experience playing for clubs across Europe, as well as the ISL, having featured for Jamshedpur FC and East Bengal. Similarly, Laldinpuia was with JFC since 2021 and was a part of the ISL title winning squad under Coyle.
With the reunion at Chennai, the team looks capable of challenging for the top spots in the league this season, building on their top six finish this past year.
