Xavi Simons could return to the Bundesliga to join Bayern Munich this year instead of RB Leipzig. Current Bayern director Max Eberl is pushing for the Dutch youngster, after a successful loan spell with RB Leipzig this past season.
The 21-year-old scored eight goals and provided 13 assists in 32 Bundesliga games this past season, showing remarkable composure and quality. Now, Bayern are eager to sign him on loan to add more quality to their squad to reclaim the Bundesliga title.

PSG are not open to selling the young attacking midfielder, and only want to sanction a loan deal for him. However, the final decision is up to the player and his entourage. As a result, Bayern only have the option for a straight loan deal unless they can negotiate a deal.
Xavi Simons’ contract with PSG runs out in 2027, which means the French side are under no pressure to sell, especially since they just lost Kylian Mbappe.
After finishing third this season in the Bundesliga and ensuring their first trophyless season in over a decade, Bayern are looking for signings that can immediately make an impact instead of youngsters. And that is why Simons is high on their priority list, since he has already shown he can deliver in the German top flight.
As things stand, both RB Leipzig and Bayern are still in the race to sign the player on loan. The only thing that remains to be seen is which side can convince the player to join them.
