Vivo is yet to announce the S19 and S19 Pro officially but a tipster has spilled some details about their displays, chipsets, batteries, and more. The handsets will be sold in China with the Vivo S18 5G and Vivo S18 Pro 5G branding, as successors to Vivo S18 and S18 Pro.
More About the Vivo S19 and S19 Pro
It is expected that the Vivo S19 will boast a 6.78-inch OLED panel at WQHD resolution (1.5K) that maxes out at 4500 nits, up from the S18’s 2800 Nits. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. On the back, there is a dual-surround zoom camera module which consists of a 50MP GNJ1 OIS main camera as well as an 8MP UltraWide Shoot sensor with soft ring light.
For selfies, the S19 will likely have a 50MP front camera, much like the Vivo S18. It is expected to come with a 6,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, up from the S18’s 5,000mAh battery. Also, a rock-hard anti-fall structure and a plastic middle frame. There will be IP64 water and dust resistance and NFC and Infrared.
The S19 Pro will feature a 1.5K curved screen similar to the Vivo S18 Pro but with a higher brightness than before at 4500 nits peak (the max brightness of the Vivo S18 Pro was 2800 nits). Likely to be powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, the successor of its predecessor. The rear camera setup may feature a 50MP Sony IMX921 VCS 1/1.56-inch main unit with OIS, an8MP super-broad unit, and a 50MP telephoto sensor similarly equipped as the last one but with up to 50X digital zoom alongside soft ring light. The front 50MP should also be featured in the standard S19 and S18 Pro.
It is expected to feature a smaller 5,500mAh battery with the equivalent charging speeds as the S19 (that would marvelously stand up from the S18 Pro’s 5,000mAh battery). Other features may include water and dust protection with ratings of IP69, IP68, and IP64; NFC; infrared; and a stereo dual-speaker set. None of these are concrete yet, just compiled from rumors and whispers around town. Vivo will officially announce each and every aspect at the launch on May 30.
