PSG have won the Coupe de France 2024, defeating Lyon 2-1 in the finals to secure a domestic double of the Ligue 1 title and the domestic cup in their first season under Luis Enrique.
In spite of Kylian Mbappe’s final Ligue 1 home game ending in defeat, the France captain was able to end his career with the Parisians with a trophy winning game. Ousmane Dembele scored the opening goal 22 minutes into the game, before Fabian Ruiz doubled their lead 34 minutes in.

Jake O’Brien was able to pull one back for his side ten minutes into the second half, but the one-goal lead was enough for PSG to see the game through. And now, they have ended the season with a double while Lyon’s hopes of a big comeback with silverware took a blow.
Regardless, they have been able to turn things around from their relegation form to finish sixth in the table to earn Europa Conference League football for the coming season.
Enrique will now have a full preseason to prepare for the coming season and rebuild the team without Mbappe in a bid to challenge for the treble once again.
