Thiago Motta is set to join Juventus as their new head coach, signing a three-year contract with the Bianconeri in the coming days. The manager has informed Bologna of his decision to leave after helping them achieve Champions League football his season.

Juventus have already sacked Max Allegri in the fallout of their Coppa Italia win this past weekend. And now, his replacement will arrive once the domestic season is complete.

Juventus to appoint Thiago Motta as their new head coach

The move has been given the here we go signal by Fabrizio Romano, which means it is only a matter of time before it is made official. Motta’s style of football has been highly appreciated, considering how direct and attack-minded it is.

For Juventus, it would mark a significant change considering Allegri’s tactics were frequently described as conservative and defensive, failing to get the best out of attackers like Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic.

The hope now is that Thiago Motta will be able to turn things around at Juventus to help them return to top spot not only in Serie A but also in Europe, where they have been lacking for the last few years.
