With Ivan Vukomanovic leaving the club this summer, Kerala Blasters have done well to retain their top player and captain to facilitate a smooth transition into the new era.
This past season, the 32-year-old was sidelined with a serious injury that hampered the team’s chances of challenging for the title. However, they made the ISL playoffs by finishing fifth in the table.
To cope with Adrian Luna’s injury, Kerala Blasters signed Fedor Černych for the second half of the season. The Lithuanian captain scored three goals and provided one assist in ten games for the club, and could leave in June with his contract set to expire.
