Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that he will be leaving Bayern Munich after the final matchday this weekend. The Bavarians travel to Hoffenheim for the final game of the season, in what is their first trophyless season since 2011/12.
Recently, Tuchel’s agent was pictured at the club in discussions with the hierarchy. However, any rumours of a possible U-turn have been put to rest by the man himself ahead of the game against Hoffenheim.

“This is my last press conference as FC Bayern manager”.
“There were talks, but we didn't reach an agreement… so the decision of February still stands”, Tuchel says. pic.twitter.com/nd8C35cLES
Tuchel revealed that the reason behind a possible stay was because of the performance in the Champions League, even though Bayern crashed out of the tournament against Real Madrid in dramatic fashion.
“Above all, the feedback after Real Madrid over this last week was the basis to think again about the 180-degree turn, but we didn’t reach any agreement,“ Thomas Tuchel said. “I don’t want to go into the individual points and the motivations behind them. That is behind closed doors and stays that way.”
Several options have been rumoured to become Bayern’s next manager. However, they haven’t been able to come to a decision as of yet.
