The Upcoming Bajaj CNG Motorcycle

Thus, the recently leaked spy images of the Bajaj CNG bike reveal the upcoming bike’s characteristics. The commuter bike would allow a new section of customers who would benefit from lower running costs and fuel consumption in contrast to their petrol equivalents. The rider’s position was vertical, with a single-seat sitting, hand protectors with a one-piece handlebar, and a middle foot peg. It has an LED headlamp with lamp blinkers, a single rear grab rail, and engine-side footy legs with a black exhaust.

With a fully digital instrument console, a CNG tank fixed in a double cradle cleverly here, and a detachable CNG on the gasoline tank to refuel it. The suspension could be a telescopic fork and mono shocks; the drum or even disc brake would be single-channel ABS. The shots show the two variants of transporting classes. One variant with premium touches attracted a relatively short windscreen and smooth mirror stems. The other variant reflects a more rugged demeanor, similar to the petrol-powered Bajaj CT125X, and with extra protective additions such as handguards and a sump guard.

The two variants have a simple exhaust design and come with regular alloy wheels. The Bajaj CNG motorcycle will offer dual-fuel adaptability in this manner, allowing for the primary CNG and an additional petrol tank for contingency. The switch knob is anticipated to be placed close to the rider’s left leg to ensure quick-flicking fuel-source-switching handles that can continue riding indefinitely.

The manufacturer claims that the CNG motorcycle is a revolutionary change that is predestined to bring a 50% reduction in CO2, approximately 75% in carbon monoxide, and almost 90% in non-methane hydrocarbons. Moreover, apart from environmental cleanliness, it is also estimated to reduce the cost of fuel and other expenses by a staggering 55-65%.

Ex-showroom priced between ₹80,000-90,000 this latest Bajaj CNG bike is affordable and is purported to be the unopposed king of its segment against the Hero Splendor Plus, TVS Radeon, Honda Shine 100, and Bajaj Platina 110. Bajaj structured plans to export the motorcycle by logically targeting an inclination of about 20,000 bikes/month and strategizing to build a further 5-6 new CNG bikes by the end of next year.
