Como have been promoted to the Serie-A after a 21-year absence. Former Wales and Crystal Palace assistant manager Osian Roberts has been in charge of the first team, and has guided them back to the top flight in Italy after a remarkable season.
The team played out a 1-1 draw with Cosenza on the final day of the season and finished second while Parma claimed top spot to fill up the two guaranteed top spots.

The Lombardy-based team has had to endure a number of challenges over the last two decades. They only won four matches when they were last in the top flight, and were eventually relegated all the way to Serie D, the non-professional fourth tier of Italy.
Como also went bankrupt twice during this time, but were helped by Indonesian tobacco giants Djarum, who took over the club in 2019. Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is also a shareholder of the club, alongside former teammate Cesc Fabregas.
The midfielder was briefly the manager of the first team last year, but didn’t have the necessary licenses at the time. Osian Roberts was recommended to the board by Henry himself, and Roberts has revealed that he has received a lot of support from the former striker.
