iQOO Z9x 5G, to be released on May 16 in India, is the Z9 series second smartphone model to be released. Recently, the Z9x 5G was launched in China, and it would not be surprising if the Indian variant had the same specifications as the Chinese version.
The All New iQOO Z9x 5G
Nipun Marya, iQOO India CEO, officially announced the launch date of the Z9x 5G on May 16, confirming that the design is likely the same and the color variants, which include white, green, and black, in China. Indeed, the Z9x 5G design is inspired by the iQOO’s 2024 flagship, the iQOO 12.
On the other side, the iQOO Z9x 5G running Android 11 with OriginOS for iQOO at the top features a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits peak brightness. The iQOO Z9x 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage, which is expandable up to 1TB. In the camera department, this device is likely to house a 16MP f/2.45 selfie sensor.
The phone lasts long with a swath 6000mAh battery with support for fast charging up to 44W, making sure that it would last the whole day. The biometric security option is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and the device has a single speaker. The phone operates on Android-based FunTouch OS 14. There is also Wireless Fidelity 5, Bluetooth v5.1, and GPS.
Moreover, 5G is available, offering fast data access and a USB type-C cord is also there for charging. Now, the iQOO Z9x 5G was launched in China for a starting price of CNY 1199 around ₹13,800. Speculations have suggested that its cost would not deviate much in India, as it might be adapted as the Vivo T3x 5G that has a ₹13,499 beginning rate for the 8GB + 128GB variant.
