Eight months ago, Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that it was becoming progressively less probable that a new Apple Watch variant 2024 on the Apple Watch Ultra. On the other hand, the most current occurrences suggest the Apple Watch Ultra 3 may ultimately be released in September 2022.
The Rumored Apple Watch Ultra 3
Kuo informed MacRumors this morning through a direct message that the Apple Watch Ultra would be updated this year, but there will be “nearly none” of the hardware advancements seen in the Apple Watch Ultra. Kuo did not mention precisely what novelties to expect from the Watch Ultra 3 which is expected to be announced in September.
Further, considering the upgrade cycle for that generation, there is a chance that a third-generation Apple Watch SE could launch this year. However, the release of the Apple Watch Series 9’s successor is quite uncertain. Earlier last air, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported on a new form factor for the Apple Watch, the “Apple Watch X,” set to feature a slimmer case and magnetic bands.
Assuming it could launch in “2024 or 2025,” it is hard to say if this particular generation will debut this year or in the next. Nevertheless, being pegged for more intensive health features like the ability to measure users’ blood pressure and identify sleep apnea, could extend to the Apple Watch Ultra 3.
The original Apple Watch was revealed in September 2014 and got into sale in April 2015, it has been almost a decade since its original introduction. Consumers look forward to potential new versions following its transformation throughout the years.
