Leicester City have become the first team to secure promotion to the Premier League from the Championship this season, and have bounced back into the top flight at the first attempt. Leeds United suffered a shocking 4-0 defeat against Queens Park Rangers to mathematically ensure that the Foxes will play top flight football next season.
The Foxes are all set to win the Championship title en route to the Premier League, with only two games left to play this season. Their next game is against Preston North End on the 29th, and their season ends at home against Blackburn Rovers, where they could be crowned champions.

Leicester were shockingly relegated from the Premier League last season, in spite of a decent squad and the leadership of Brendan Rodgers. Enzo Maresca has led the team back into the top flight this season, but it might not be a fairytale return for the club.
They fell into trouble with the Premier League authorities over FFP breaches, and are expected to receive a points deduction next season. This should pose a significant challenge to them staying up once again next season, but we’ve seen Everton battle through deductions quite well this season.
And, there’s no reason to assume that Leicester might not survive in their first season back in spite of a deduction.
