A tense finish to the Europa League quarter finals saw Liverpool eliminated against Atalanta, while Bayer Leverkusen maintained their unbeaten run against West Ham United. The newly crowned champions of Germany earned a 1-1 draw against the Hammers to eliminate them with another miraculous late goal from Jeremie Frimpong.

Mohamed Salah dispatched an early penalty in the game to give his side the lead in the game. The visitors showed urgency from the first whistle in the game, and had several close chances throughout. But, so did Atalanta. And neither team was able to score from open play to take the advantage.

Atalanta didn’t sit back and let Liverpool attack, as they put the pressure on the Reds to force them into errors. Eventually, Gasperini had the last laugh while Jurgen Klopp’s European career with Liverpool comes to an end.

Roma 2-1 Milan (3-1 agg)

The Rossoneri dominated the game from the beginning, with goals from Gianluca Mancini and Paulo Dybala helping them go up 3-0 in the tie. Zeki Celik was given a straight red in the first half, and both teams were forced into changes before half time.

But, in spite of dominating possession, the Rossoneri could only score once, late in the game through Matteo Gabbia.
