The date and format for the upcoming ISL playoffs has been revealed, with the top six now decided for this year’s matches. Mohun Bagan SG, Mumbai City FC, Odisha FC, FC Goa, Chennaiyin FC and Kerala Blasters have made it to the playoffs and will now play for the Cup.
Mohun Bagan SG and Mumbai City FC are expected to qualify for the semifinals directly, as the top two teams will be seeded. However, the two teams will play their final league match against one another at the Salt Lake Stadium to not only decide who wins the Shield, but also to determine who finishes second in the playoffs race.
ISL Playoffs Date and Format Revealed: Rumoured Venues
The teams placed third to sixth, which include FC Goa, Odisha FC, Kerala Blasters and Chennaiyin FC, will play a single legged tie against one another to determine who makes it to the semifinals. From there, the winners will make it to the final.
Here is the schedule of the ISL playoffs 2024:
- Knockouts – April 19 and 20
- Semifinals (1st leg) – April 23 and 24
- Semifinals (2nd leg) – April 28 and 29 Â
- Final – May 4
The venue for the final has not been announced yet, but there are rumours that it could be played in either Kolkata or Mumbai. An official announcement is expected in the coming days about the location.
