The Chinese tech industries have suffered tremendously due to the ongoing tussle between the US and Chinese Administrations. Started with the ban of Tik Tok citing data privacy issues, the Trump-led US Administration has then proceeded in attacking other Chinese based tech industries.

The US claims that Chinese technologies are responsible for allegedly leaking their user’s data to their homeland, which is a serious threat to users’ privacy and, most importantly, to the National Security.

The US government has limited companies like Tik Tok, WeChat, Huawei, and SMIC from utilizing US tech to boost their industry. This has resulted in tremendous set-back in the advancement of these tech giants.

However, the Chinese tech companies face more trouble yet, as the European Union (EU) and other international organizations who see Chinese Technology as a threat have started following the US approach.

Countries like Australia, Japan, and the UK have already followed the US and have banned Huawei from their 5G networks. India has also banned more than 100 Chinese apps, including the video-sharing platform Tik Tok.

The US launched its Clean Network Initiative to oust Chinese technology from its wireless and digital networks. This was started because the tech poses a national security threat. Another reason for these drastic measures from the US administration comes amidst chinas new policy, which orders the china based companies to lend their resources to its military when required.

Chineses companies are viewed as potential spies working for the Chinese communist party.

Reports suggest that regardless of who wins the American presidential elections this year, the US restrictions on Chinese tech industries will remain. With the United States standing firm on its stance against China and the European Union to soon follow on the US foot-steps, it seems that the whole world is against china making advancements in technology.
