What a year it has been for all the Bayern Munich players!
From winning the Bundesliga and German Cup to lifting the Champions League, Bayern has been dominant all throughout the season not only in Germany but in the whole of Europe.
The main man behind the success of Bayern’s continental winning 2019-20 season is clearly their Poland striker Robert Lewandowski.
The 32-year-old has now been awarded the UEFA Men’s Player for the Year award. Neuer and De Bruyne were also in the race but Lewandowski was the clear favourite.

Robert Lewandowski is arguably the best No 9 in the world right now. He has been phenomenal in the last few years for Bayern. He has scored 55 goals in all competitions last season while leading Bayern to the continental treble.
This is also the first time that either Ronaldo or Messi wasn’t in the three-player shortlist of the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year award.
But, Lewandowski truly deserves all the recognition after such a terrific season. He may feel that he has been robbed of the Ballon d’Or award after France Football cancelled the 2020 edition due to the pandemic, but somehow he can now console himself after receiving the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year award.
