Hyderabad FC are set to lose their first team goalkeeper, with Gurmeet Singh likely to leave the club in the coming days. Much like Chinglensana Singh and Nikhil Poojary, the goalkeeper is frustrated over unpaid wages and wants to move on in the coming days.
He has submitted a request under Article 14 bis of FIFA RSTP for ‘just cause termination’. The AIFF PSC will convene soon to sanction the NOC and allow the player to leave as a free agent. Although the transfer window is closed right now, teams can still register free agents. And therefore, the 24-year-old can join a new club right after he leaves.
Gurmeet Singh to leave Hyderabad FC with NOC request submitted
Singh has played 13 ISL games this season, most recently featuring for the team against East Bengal. Even though they lost 1-0 to the Red and Gold side, the Nizams put up a strong fight and were close to getting through with a draw. But, they were unable to make a difference in the end.

The departure of significant names in central defence has not helped Gurmeet Singh cope since the winter transfer window. The club currently sits at the bottom of the table with the worst defensive record in the division, signalling a shocking fall from grace after their title win only a couple of years ago.
Kerala Blasters, Punjab FC and NorthEast United have been linked as possible options for the player. But, a final decision will only be made once he is officially granted the permission to leave the club.
