The Indian Premier League is getting heated day by day. Day 12 of the IPL will feature an interesting match as Rajasthan Royals will take on Kolkata Knight Riders.

Royals are coming off probably one of the best and historic matches in the history of the IPL. They made the record-breaking highest chase ever as they chased 223 runs against KXIP. They have won both of their games, however, will like to rectify the errors they made.

KKR, on the other hand, rectified some errors from their first match. They played really well in their last match against SRH and proved why they’re one of the most balanced teams in the league.

Rajasthan Royals

The Royals’ batting looked phenomenal. Skipper Steve Smith and Sanju Samson picked up from where they left as they scored 50 0ff 27 balls and 85 off just 42 balls, respectively. Rahul Tewatia stole the show by scoring 53 off 31 balls, including five sixes in an over.

However, bowling-wise they will have to make certain adjustments.

Kolkata Knight Riders

KKR got things back on track after rectifying their earlier mistakes. They earned a dominating win over SRH in their second match. Every department looked great. Shubhman Gill, Nitish Rana, and Eoin Morgan took the side through. However, they will have to consider their strategy of opening with Narine. He seems to be struggling with short balls, especially in large stadiums of UAE.

As per bowling is concerned, KKR was happy as Pat Cummins was able to established some rhythm. He was accompanied by Shivam Mavi and Varun Chakravarthy.

Fantasy XI team

SANJU SAMSON (9.5) (C) – Samson has been in unreal form. He’ll therefore be our captain.

STEVE SMITH (10) – The RR skipper has been in phenomenal form.

JOS BUTTLER (10.5) – Buttler couldn’t do much in his first match. However, he as been in great form in the international circuit.

JOFRA ARCHER (9) – Archer bowled great as well and not to forget his innings where he hit Ngidi for four consecutive sixes!

EOIN MORGAN (9) – Morgan has looked in great form. He can hold the innings together when Rana, Gill, or Russell attack.

RAHUL TEWATIA (8.5) (VC) – Tewatia has looked great both with the bat and ball. After his heroics, he’ll be our vice-captain.

ANDRE RUSSELL (10.5) – Russell has been silent, however, it’s just a matter of time until he explodes.

SHUBMAN GILL (8.5) – Gill looked in great form in the last match and took KKR home.

SHIVAM MAVI (8) – Mavi has proved himself in his two matches.

SHREYAS GOPAL (8.5) – Gopal bowled relatively well and took 2 wickets in his last match.

VARUN CHAKRAVARTHY (8) – Chakravarthy impressed everyone with his bowling especially after taking the wicket of David Warner.

PREDICTION

Both sides are equally matched and coming off two wins. It’s extremely difficult to bet against RR keeping in mind their current form. However, yesterday’s match against SRH vs. DC showed a lot of assistance for spinners and KKR has better spinners.

KKR can definitely pullout an upset.
