Bruno Fernandes made his 25th appearance for Manchester United against Brighton on Saturday. According to the contract, Manchester United now need to give €5 million to Sporting Lisbon. Manchester United had already given €3 million to the Portuguese club after they had qualified for the UEFA Champions League. According to the reports in Portugal, it makes his total transfer money around €63 million.
Bruno Fernandes joined Manchester United in January. He has given an immediate impact on the team. In his 25 games in United Jersey, he has already scored 13 goals including 10 assists. He has also scored a final minute penalty against Brighton yesterday to secure the win for the Red Devils. Earlier than that he has provided an assist for Marcus Rashford.
Bruno Fernandes becomes ‘EPL Player of the Month’ for two times last season after his move to England in January. He also becomes the ‘Fans Player of the Year’ and won the ‘Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year’ award.
The Portuguese midfielder is always in the good book of his manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as well. United boss earlier in an interview said, “He is a goalscoring and assisting midfielder, a little bit like Paul Scholes. He can strike a ball fantastically.”
“He has got such a wonderful technique, but he also is going to get assists from set plays and from his range of passes. He is a similar type to Scholesy: fiery, passionate, hates losing, and the same number [18] on the back of the shirt.”
Bruno’s partnership with Paul Pogba and other United’s attackers makes United a threat to the opposition. United are capable of doing wonders with their limited resource just like last season and Bruno Fernandes will surely be a key factor for the team.
