Manchester United youngster Facundo Pellistri is set to join Granada on a loan deal until the end of the season. He follows fellow United academy graduate Hannibal Mejbri to LaLiga, after he signed for Sevilla.Â
The deal will be a straight loan until the end of the season with no buy option, meaning he will return to the Premier League at the end of the season. The medical tests have been booked for the move, and the race is on for him to complete the transfer before the January transfer window deadline slams shut.
Facundo Pellistri signs for Granada on loan until the end of the seasonÂ
With Bryan Zaragoza pushing to leave the club in the January transfer window and join Bayern Munich, the arrival of Facundo Pellistri seems like a clear sign that Bayern will have their new signing in the winter. The original agreement between the two was that Zaragoza would complete the season and then move to Germany in the summer.Â
But it now seems that he won’t wait till the end of the season and wants the transfer finalised now. If he is able to go, Pellistri will be a direct replacement for him.
Under Erik Ten Hag, Facundo Pellistri had limited opportunities, playing only 366 minutes across all competitions. With regular first team football in Spain, the 22-year-old could further his development and make good on the potential he has shown this far.
