Chinglensana Singh completes Bengaluru FC transfer, contract until 2029

Chinglensana Singh has signed for Bengaluru FC after terminating his contract with Hyderabad FC. The defender has put pen to paper on a five and a half year deal until the end of the 2028/29 season, one of the longest deals ever signed in the history of the ISL.

He has fully committed to the long-term project with the Blues, and is now set to be a part of their growing Indian contingent in front of national team goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu.

There were a number of offers on the table for the player, but he was most impressed by the offer from Bengaluru. The interest from them had been present since before he left Hyderabad, and the deal has now come to fruition days after he left the Nizams.

One of the clubs interested in signing the defender were East Bengal. After the rise of Lalchungnunga, Chinglensana Singh would have been a valuable addition to the squad, now that they have won the Kalinga Super Cup. But, they were unable to commit to a long-term contract like Bengaluru have.

And once the ISL resumes, Singh will be ready to wear a new jersey to restart his career after the financial meltdown experienced at Hyderabad.
