Although Honor isn’t selling the Honor Magic V2 in North America, it has been accessible in China for more than six months. Today, the gadget is being released in Europe for a price of £1,699.99 (€1,999, or approximately $2,170).
Despite the long wait, the Honor Magic V2 is the thinnest inward-folding smartphone in the world, measuring just 4.7 millimeters when unfurled and 9.9 millimeters when folded. In comparison, the folded and unfolded dimensions of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5 are 13.4 and 6.1 millimeters, respectively.
Honor Magic V2 specifications, pricing, and offers
It has a 6.43-inch OLED screen with a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz, peak brightness of 2,500 nits, and resolution of 1060 x 2376. A 7.92-inch, non-square display with a resolution of 2156 x 2344 and a refresh rate of 120 Hz is housed inside, albeit it claims a lower peak brightness of 1,600 nits.
Honor recently unveiled the Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design, which increased anticipation. It has since been revealed that Honor will also be bringing this device to Europe.
Honor and Porsche Design collaborated to create this limited edition, which exhibits exceptional design and craftsmanship.
Rather than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the phone’s hardware is based on the Gen 2 model from last year. The phone’s remaining specifications are thankfully more up-to-date, and I didn’t have any performance issues while using it regularly. There is a 5,000mAh battery with up to 66W of rapid charging capability, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage (which rises to 1TB in the Porsche Design version of the phone).
There are two 16MP selfie cameras in the package: one for the folding screen and the other for the cover display. On the back is the standard triple camera configuration. This array of cameras consists of a 2.5x 20MP telephoto camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP primary camera.
The cost and the specifications are in line. The Honor Magic V2 in Purple and Black will retail for €1,999 in Europe and £1,699.99 in the UK on Honor’s website.
In addition to six months of screen protection and a 66W HONOR SuperCharge Power Adapter, pre-ordering directly from HONOR will offer you Bang and Olufsen headphones (worth £459).
